Industry Round Up 11.8.19

Due to competing delivery and takeaway orders, close to 500 Pizza hut restaurants could shut their doors in the US according to Food Business News. This is a move which aims to strengthen their long term growth says the President of Yum! which owns the brand.

Currently the UK is not part of the closure plan.

50 years ago last Thursday, The Beatles created one of the most iconic album covers of all time – Abbey Road. We enjoyed seeing how people celebrated the occasion, especially our Liverpool friends!

The rise of the Food Hall is definitely continuing with news of London based Market company Street Fest coming up North to make another home in Manchester. Southport will also see its Food Hall come back to life with a brand new re-design by our own DV8 designs. We’re really looking forward to the increase in these eclectic street food social hubs, and can’t wait to see what’s in store.

And for some reason, the Twitterverse was pondering what a reverse centaur would look like… We’ll just leave that there…
