GB Hospitality is a commercial, marketing and business consultancy based in Cheshire, that has the vision for innovative brand building, commercial and marketing solutions with the pragmatism of market urgency. We specialise in creating first class brand, commercial, and marketing strategies that deliver results for the hotel, hospitality, tourism and service sectors - one of the most competitively tough, low margin and commercially driven sectors.

Our success is demonstrated by growth in our clients' businesses and assets. We achieve this by being as passionate about your results as you, and sharing your vision for your assets.

Our clients turn to us because we listen to them, we understand the opportunities and challenges they face as we've been there, and done it. We speak their language and through straight talking, and strategic thinking we provide cost-effective 'off-the-peg' or made to measure solutions.

Whether a company is evolving or new to the sector, we work with owners and businesses to help crystallize purpose, voice, look, feel and personality, in short the complete brand world. We help though clear brand positioning to ensure that the brand creates enduring relationships and emotional connections with its customers coupled with a sustainable brand programme.

Working with owner and management teams, we identify commercial edge, generate ideas and then turn them into packages that attract customers to buy. Design, planning and leading the commercial functions across the whole business including segmentation, targeting and positioning, sales and marketing activity, CRM programmes and online brand reputation.

GB Hospitality provides an objective and independent view of your business, brand and marketing requirements. We achieve results through a strategic approach to tailored consultancy projects, project management, one-to-one mentoring and coaching. As well as driving commercial culture within an organisation, we work remotely or as a part of an in-house team.

As a small team, we like to work with all our clients on a first name basis, we see ourselves as a part of your team. We are lucky enough to have developed some fabulous and well-loved brands. Below are just a few of our favourite clients.

Industry Round Up 11.5.20

This week our favourite brand story is Heinz in Canada and McDonalds in Belgium have jumped on the trend of lockdown puzzles and created their own jigsaws to be given away as part of an Instagram competition!

What a great PR stunt, all 570 pieces in Heinz Red! We would struggle to finish this one!

In other food news, Dutch company Elzelinde van Doleweerd have been getting creative with 3D printing – turning food waste into beautiful snack foods. We think this would be a great addition to events, plus would create an interesting story for delegates to take forward!

VE Day showed a huge sense of community with stay at home street parties, and socially distanced celebrations! Despite restrictions, rules were (largely) followed, and it was great to see this anniversary remembered in it’s own historical way.

Lastly, we couldn’t finish our round up without mentioning Boris’s latest announcement. There has been much confusion surrounding the advice, so we felt it fair to provide a clear, brief outline of the key points:

  • Stay home wherever possible – this is still the safest option.
  • Work from home if you can. No need to head back to the office just because the doors are now open – if you can work from home, this should continue.
  • Avoid public transport. Again, similar to the above, only to be used if absolutely essential.
  • Take unlimited exercise. No more restrictions on how many times you leave the house – however this should be within the family unit, and 2m distance should still be adhered to.
  • Enjoy parks and outside spaces. We can now sit in outdoor public places, but stay within 2m of people at all times. Only enjoy this with members of your household. You may also drive to other destinations, but this should be within reason.

There was talk about reopening hospitality businesses and phasing school intakes, but we will likely see more advice later this week. We would hope that June-July looks to see more openings – towards the end of the season.
