From the moment we first heard about the vision for BANK Bar & Brasserie, we knew it was going to be something truly special. Katie and Charlie Wray had a bold, exciting idea to create a one-of-a-kind venue, a place where history, community, and modern charm would come together. And when we stepped inside the iconic NatWest Bank building, the potential was impossible to ignore. The energy was already there, and we were all in. So, we put on our hospitality hats, rolled up our sleeves, and got to work, eager to help turn their dream into reality.
From the very beginning, we knew that BANK had to be a place for the Glossop community. It was essential that the venue felt like an extension of the town itself, a welcoming spot where locals could gather, celebrate, and feel at home. Everything about the brand was designed with this in mind, ensuring that BANK would become a cornerstone of the local social scene. But beyond that, we saw the opportunity to create a space that was also within easy reach for people from nearby areas, including Manchester. Whether they were looking for a weekend getaway, a special occasion, or just a day out of the city, we wanted BANK to be a destination for visitors as well. By striking that perfect balance between being a beloved local hotspot and a must-visit destination for those traveling from further afield, we aimed to make BANK a place with a true sense of belonging for everyone.

In a crowded market, standing out means being authentic. From the start, we knew the brand needed to honour the rich history of the building while embracing the modern charm it offered. The old NatWest Bank had witnessed countless stories over the years, stories that Katie was determined to bring back to life.

So, we set to work developing a brand identity that felt timeless, but with a modern, fresh twist. We crafted a complete brand toolkit, including everything from a stunning website that perfectly captured BANK’s unique essence to vibrant print materials designed to spread the word far and wide. This was about more than just designing a logo—it was about creating an experience that felt cohesive and exciting at every touchpoint, ensuring the brand’s identity shone through in every detail.
Looking ahead to the grand opening, we focused on building excitement and anticipation. We developed a dynamic pre-launch campaign, with PR outreach, social media buzz, and local partnerships aimed at getting people talking. The goal was simple but powerful: ensure everyone knew that something truly special was coming to Glossop. Thanks to a well-executed strategy, BANK became the talk of the town—and beyond—before it even opened its doors, leaving everyone eager to experience what was inside.
